However, since I had not completed my MS by then, I asked them to allow me time to complete my studies before joining the FBI in the role offered to me. They agreed to that easily as it was only a three-month period.

I went through that three month period with a mixture of emotions of unease at the long wait and excitement at the prospect of joining the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) right after the finals and about becoming a “Fed” and wearing the jacket with FBI written on the back. But, I for sure did not know what was in store for me.
On the day my examination ended, towards the end of March 2016, I came out of the college building while discussing the paper with my friends and a couple of wellbuilt guys in suits walked up to me and asked me to walk with them to their car (at which they pointed at a black car with tinted windows parked about a hundred yards away) to talk to their boss who was waiting in the car for me. I was a bit apprehensive as I did not know who they were. They could sense my hesitation and one of them smiled and told me it was about my job as a technical expert. At that, I assumed it was someone from the FBI who had come to meet me and hire me as my finals were over and done with. So, I went with the two of them over to the car. One of them opened the door at the rear left of the car and asked me to hop in. inside the car, there was a forty-something gentleman waiting for me who welcomed me with a warm smile. The two men who had escorted me came in and sat in the front and we drove off. I did not know for sure where was I being taken to but I assumed the destination
